A mixed-use development that aims to reconnect the site with its rich cultural history, revitalize the current infrastructure, and reinvigorate the Oakland neighborhood for generations. This is accomplished by designing a new “root” for the community that provides new life that “branches” out to the surrounding community in order to encourage a sustainable lifestyle that is accessible to all. This project was done as part of the NOMA Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competition. Other group members include Alyssa Mayorga, Veronica Hernandez, Brenna Robinson, Juhi Dhanesha, Lydia Randall, Taylor Latimer, and Takumi Davis.
